Muscota New School is a Kindergarten through 5th grade elementary school.
To ensure diversity within the school population, Muscota New School is a lottery school, whereby the applications for enrollment are divided by gender and randomly selected. After the applications are received for Kindergarten, an equal number of girls and boys are chosen with no more than 25 children per class (2 classes each grade.)

All applications must be in by March 1st.
Families will be notified by the end of March via letters sent to the home addresses on the applications. A waitlist will be established as well. Enrollment can be done during school hours and your acceptance letter will instruct you what you need to bring with you that day.
Muscota New School accepts applications for all grades except 5th grade.
1st grade through 4th grade openings are based on attrition.
